Monel R-405 Coil

Monel R-405 is a free-processed form of Monel 400. It is a nickel-copper alloy with a certain amount of sulfur added to produce sulfide inclusions, which play a role in chip breaking during processing. Like Monel 400, R-405 alloy is resistant to seawater and steam at high temperatures, as well as to salt and corrosive solutions. Monel R405 is a solid solution alloy that must be hardened by cold working. This nickel alloy has good corrosion resistance, good weldability and high strength. Its low corrosion rate in fast-flowing harsh environments or seawater, its amazing resistance to stress corrosion cracking in many fresh waters, and its ability to resist a variety of corrosion conditions have prompted its widespread use in other non-oxidizing chloride solutions and marine applications.
